Coroner Mark Thomas has authorized the release of names of the individuals involved in the fatal collision on Knox Hwy 4, on Friday, March 1, 2024.

• Mariliel Slightom, age 38 of Toulon was pronounced deceased at the scene
• Charles Slightom, age 41 of Toulon was injured and transported from the scene.
• Ariel Harlan, age 24 of Toulon was injured and transported from the scene.
• Joshua Zuelly, age 38 of Toulon was treated on scene.
• There was also a juvenile passenger who was no injured.

Charles Slightom was cited for Disobeying a Traffic Control Device, Driving under the Influence (a)(2), Operating Uninsured Vehicle, and Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.

This crash is still under investigation.

All persons are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law
