Hasselbacher charged with Attempted First Degree Murder

On Tuesday July 23, 2019 The Knox County Sheriff’s Department arrested Joshua K.D. Hasselbacher, 30 years old, by serving an arrest warrant on Hasselbacher at the Illinois Department of Corrections, Stateville Correctional Center.

Hasselbacher was arrested for Attempted First Degree Murder with a bond set at $500,000.00 10%.

This case is a result of a tip that was provided to the Knox County Sheriff’s Department from the Department of Children and Family Services.

Hasselbacher was left in the Custody of the Illinois Department of Corrections.

Knox County was assisted in this case by Knox County State’s Attorney’s Office, Department of Children and Family Services, Illinois Department of Corrections, the U.S. Marshals Service, the San Diego County (California) Sheriff’s Department and Franklin County (Georgia) Sheriff’s Department.


Anyone arrested is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
